Vandalism

Whilst on the litter pick yesterday I noticed that the bus shelter on the spur road by Normandy Drive had been mindlessly vandalised. The plastic windows have been shattered which must have required considerable and pointless effort and shards of broken plastic thrown into the hedgerow. It is easy to jump to the conclusion that kids were responsible but when you see the scale of the damage and the forces needed to break the thick plastic I have to conclude that whoever did this were young adults bent on getting kicks out of this destruction. I daresay that they will get great satisfaction knowing that as a result of their efforts bus passengers will suffer considerable discomfort by being exposed to the elements whilst waiting for a bus. Should anyone have any information as to who did this I would much appreciate the information so that I could meet with the perpetrators to find out just what motivates them to perform such a stupid act. Suffice to say that all partners are on alert to see that once repaired the shelter does not suffer a similar attack.
