I told you so.Integrity in politics? not in Grange

I blogged on the 14th May about the terrific news that Christchurch Conservatives working with Dorset County Council had worked hard to restore on a long term basis our C1 C2 and X12 bus service. I did warn that the Liberal party (Christchurch Cell)would sooner or later claim credit and that is just what has happened. The cell member for Burton and Grange declares in a distributed leaflet that the new service was as a result of pressure from her.I asked Cllr. Geary, who spent hours over a period of about three months in meeting after meeting with transport consultants and DCC officers if any contribution had been made or pressure applied by this person, his reply, unprintable. In short nothing. At this time when the whole nation is questioning the simple honesty of our politicians it is quite scandalous that a County Council Councillor should claim influence or responsibility when in fact she contributed nothing. This to me is just as bad as her 'let them eat cake' statement in respect of her opposition to Kelly's Kitchen. She may claim to put 'people before politics in her latest publication but clearly, like her, these people she refers to wouldn't dream of stooping so low to eating in Kelly's.I also noted the front page picture of her cuddling Cllr. Julie Petrie,I have to say that I had no idea that FROGS was the Grange arm of the Liberal party!!!
