The next PACT meeting for Purewell and Stanpit will be at The Mudeford Methodist Hall Mudeford Lane at 6.30pm 26th March. On the agenda are some interesting subjects including a crime and disorder update from PC Joel Brooks for the area. Rosie Havers is going to bring us up to date on the improvement in reported anti social behaviour incidents in P&S and CBC will be reporting on what is being done to persuade dog owners to pick up and clear up after their dogs and take the stuff home for disposal. Most interestingly is a presentation from Twynham HA as to how they deal with ASB and actions that can be taken within the partnership (PACT)to make tenants aware of their responsibilities to others. Then it is your turn when you can bring to the attention of Barry Sherwin and his committee your concerns so that a course of action can be determined which will improve matters. Sparky will be there in his new body (lost 1.5 stone in prep for his marathon run),making his contribution and he will best tell you how things have improved over the last two years.
Finally someone is bound to bring up the problem of litter in all its forms, my question is just how do we get our community to have such a pride in Purewell and Stanpit that the streets and open spaces are not regarded as trash dumping areas and dogs toilets. Controversial, you may think but deliberate because unfortunately I cannot be there for the meeting!Enjoy.
Ah yes, sponsor Sparky for a few quid for his run, all in a good cause!
