Navitas Wind Farm

Over the Christmas holiday I had the opportunity with incidentally two local members of Parliament, to see the latest videos from Challenge Navitas as to the effect of changing our natural coastline into an industrial seascape. I have to say that the concern that I have as we get closer to decision time is reaching panic proportions.  So much so that I have called for a presentation to all CBC Councillors so that they can see for themselves the vista changing development that is very likely to be forced on us and this coastline. I think we should realise that we are all or should be all guardians of our natural shoreline and despite all the pressure being applied by the perpetrators of this scheme understand what damage we will be doing to our unique geography. The damage not just in terms of the visual pollution but also to the potential carnage to migratory birds ,fish and noise and night light pollution let alone the damage to our countryside of this project for just  a small percentage of the national power requirement is frightening. I will not go on about the subsidies which the developer will enjoy suffice to say that we must keep vigilant in opposing this dreadful project.

I trust you will be further strengthening your enviromentalist credentials by opposing the sprawling London overspill housing estate earmarked for land designated as greenbelt south of the railway line and also any attempt to resurrect plans to drive a so called "relief" road through the S.S.S.I. known as the Avon Valley
