Wow! what a great night at our local hostelry, the food was excellent, the wine flowed, the conversations around the tables reflecting the issues that we are all interested in. At question time I was given a fair hearing despite some very robust discussions including youth employment, car park charges, house prices and of course the town centre shopping experience. Road connections featured as did the local enterprise partnership and the management of the Council as government funding is cut further. Everyone who spoke to me thought that we should repeat this on a regular basis and accordingly I will start to plan another event for early next year.
