Winds from the West at 80 mph, torrential rain and the resultant noise made for a very disturbed night. Starting about midnight the storm powered through for about five hours before settling down to an unsettled and uncomfortable blow. This morning at first light saw the affect on boats and Jettys as well as the debris thrown up from the water. However no damage apart from the last blooms scattered around the garden and our magnificent apple and pear crop stripped from the trees. So now to find how the rest of the Borough was affected!
