This week ends on a low

I returned from my office this morning to find that a really nice person had stolen the outboard engine from my dingy. This further highlights the problem and brings home to me the frustrations of these acquisitive crimes which are prevalent at the present time. Thefts from cars at night are still a problem so we must all be on our guard. For me this is the final straw so it is CCTV from now on in. Locks and cables did nothing to prevent the theft which we assume happened last night. So I am now a statistic and as newly reappointed chair of the Dorset Community Safety Partnership I feel particularly aggrieved. Police are of course aware and the engine has a unique mark so I think there was not much more I could do and I hope those that were responsible attempt to sell and are apprehended but I won't hold my breath.
