Surgery on Saturday
A very quiet morning at St John's on Saturday although it did give us time to catch up with our local Police officer Alex and Sparky our PCSO. All is still remarkably quiet in the ward, a few boisterous youngsters causing a bit of damage, parking and speeding issues notably in Normandy which is being monitored by the Police team. The real concern is the increasing incident of theft from vehicles left open at night and the theft of cycles which is giving us some problems. It might be that the area is being targeted so please make sure your car is locked, your outside sheds also and if you leave your bike make sure it's locked and attached to a suitable post. In real terms Purewell and Stanpit is a very safe place with the work done over the last few years with the Police and the community now paying dividends. We do still need to keep on our toes in maintaining the now status so get involved with Homewatch if you are not already. It was very nice to see residents popping in to wish us a happy christmas and even nicer the expression of thanks for what we do as Councillors. Heartwarming!
