Community First Responder appeal

The Community First Responder Scheme in Dorset is looking to recruit volunteers during December 2012 and January 2013 to join its Dorset team. The areas the Scheme is looking to recruit into are: Verwood Ferndown Alderholt Cranborne St Leonards near Ringwood Hamworthy Poole Bournemouth Christchurch A Community First Responder is a member of the public who has volunteered to be trained by the ambulance service to respond to certain types of 999 calls to provide basic life support. Volunteers do not need to have any first aid training or experience before joining, as an initial basic training course is provided by the ambulance service.
