Good news at last because among others one prize stands out from the South and South West England in bloom awards just announced and that is the Gold award and overall winner of the Conservation area of the year Stanpit Marsh. Three prizes won by Christchurch but this one has a relevance to all the hard work the volunteers put in to make Stanpit Marsh a very special place. I am really chuffed, well done to all concerned.

This is great - though not surprising - news about Stanpit Marsh. Well done to all those involved for their hard work.
On another note, I am STAGGERED that there has been no comment from you about your misuse of the Echo website. This appeared in the local press and at least three nationals (The Mail, The Sun, The Telegraph). Perhaps you are hoping that it will just go away? Unfortunately, virtually no responses support this, and I would be very surprised if no formal complaint was made of breach of the Council's Code of Conduct. You certainly have not shown openness and integrity as required by law.
You have brought this Borough into disrepute, you have made the Council a laughing stock, and while what you have done may not be illegal, ethics and good behaviour, of course, are a different matter. I would be interested to hear your comments!
Can't put the blame on friend Victor for this one.
Definately not me.
Not guilty.
Hello again
Still surprised that there has been no response. The Mail article is now online internationally, including in web newspapers from Ghana, New Zealand and Argentina (the last found this morning). Admittedly they are only links to the UK article, but it is obviously of interest to the whole world!
Thanks for your response but unlike the Echo this blog is open and transparent so unless you identify yourself I have no intention of responding to your personal attack.
Thanks for this. You are welcome to respond via this blog. We have met on two or three occasions before, and I will make myself known to you if and when I see you again. Obviously I am not publishing my contact details here: you, on the other hand, should have done so if publishing comments, as you are the Leader of the Council.
It is ironic that you describe a virtue of your blog as being open and transparent, but you hid your identity when responding to the Echo! Perhaps you do not really value openness and transparency ...
It still amazes me why there is no published answer, or even comment, about this issue which has been seen in all four corners of the earth!
Very surprised that there is no further comment from you about inappropriate use of the blog, published across the world. Nevertheless, you have said how fantastically you are doing on other parts of this blog. I have now identified myself and you are able to email, thus negating the specific criticism on this page. However, if any emails are needlessly vituperous I will notify relevant parties, including the Chief Executive if necessary. Of course, responses would normally be published via this site (it is a blog, after all) unless there is a reason for them to unavailable to the public.
