A conference about a simple message

Following on from my earlier blog about the Navitas project I have now agreement to call a conference hosted by CBC with the simple message '' If we were self energy sufficient in our conurbation we would not need Navitas''. What I am trying to do is to generate some direction in finding a golden thread which links all the issues about renewable energy to solutions leading to a better outcome than this offshore project which so many residents are concerned about. Clearly the opportunity exists for us all to put PV panels on our roofs but the current commercial process of doing that is prohibitive to many. So I think a discussion has to happen as to how we can find a better way to enable greater use of renewable energy across the Borough and County especially in those coastal zones so affected by Navitas. Details will immerge shortly as to who will be included but already I have had considerable support from neighbouring districts and County. More as it happens.
