SAMRA Council presentation

Every year CBC officers and members prepare a roadshow for SAMRA at the village hall at Stanpit. This years presentation on Friday night was very well received by a full house of interested residents. The officers presented the results of the latest independent survey run by Bournemouth University which shows how Christchurch residents think the Council are performing. The last time this was done was in 2008 and I am delighted to say that just about every area recorded increases in satisfaction levels over those three years. Especially interesting was the increase in value for money satisfaction levels indicating that residents were more contented about the financial control being exercised. Also increases in respect of anti-social and general crime considerations and a marked increase in the number of residents who felt safe after dark. All in all a very good result for Christchurch. Some interesting questions were answered by Councillors and the reaction from those that attended was very positive. Well done SAMRA for arranging, well done officers and councillors for attending in numbers and well done the residents for turning up in such numbers.
