Man flue strikes
I managed to get to the Mayors Christmas carol night at the Priory before secumbing to the worse cold I have experienced in years. Even now my whole body aches from exhaustion caused by continual coughing but at least and at last the dreadful symptoms seem to be on the wain. The whole carol night was just magnificent, first the kids processing with their lighted creations of woodland creatures then the Mayors party with her resplendent in the mayoral robes and of course the Community Partnership Choir smart in black and white. The whole experience was one not to be missed and despite the dreadful weather residents and guests turned out in full support. I can see this event growing to even greater heights as a community event over the next few years and we must be highly thankful to all those people who worked hard to make the evening so special. As for the carols, the choir performed magnificently under the control of the choir mistress whose massive contribution was obvious to how they presented some quite difficult pieces. My favourite was the old English carol which was complimented by the children dancing and waving tree sprigs to wish us a Merry Christmas. A simply wonderful night.
