Elected representitives doing their job for the community.
I shall be meeting the elected Councillors for Town Centre tomorrow to discuss with them the their aspirations for the Town Centre in trying to make it a better experience for shoppers, visitors and residents. I have to say that I am highly impressed with the energy they have put into this regeneration process speaking as they have to residents and business people as to how we can make Christchurch an even better place to live and visit.Simply doing nothing and changing nothing is not acceptable if we are to see Christchurch town centre competing with neighbouring shopping experiences. We may have to take decisions on behalf of the whole community at the expense of individual interests but one thing is certain our objectives will be directed to the enhancement of the whole area and we will do it for the benefit of the whole community. Our Councillors were elected represent their community and to bring added value to it, from what I have seen that is just what they are doing. And finally it is good to see amongst all the doom and gloom that five new shops have opened in the last month. So when you want to go shopping''Christchurch first''.
