CBC Roadshows
The first of the CBC annual roadshows kicked off in Burton last night, hosted by the Parish Council this event starts with a presentation from Officers and members about the current state of play in Christchurch Borough. Nothing fancy just a straight forward and honest review of what has gone on, what is going on and what we want to acheive as a Council. Obviously issues about the budget in these hard times are foremost but this year I sensed a much more rounded reaction from the residents as they asked about the projected new waste system, the travellers consultation and the heady subject of what we are intending to do about the growing traffic problem in our Town centre and surrounding areas. All in all the meeting went very well and frankly I was delighted with the positive reaction that Burton residents had to our plans. The next roadshow is tonight at West Christchurch and I really regret that I have another appointment so will miss the cut and thrust of the general debate. These shows run through the next quarter into next year, details are include in the Courier which should be coming through your door any day now. Turn up if you can it is well worth while.
