Queens Road works and others

We are in for an autumn of disruption with road works forcing the closure of Queens Road for a number of weeks as well as the Bridge Street closure in the same month. We will be assessing traffic flow in certain areas whilst the bridge work is being carried out. This being part of the understanding as to what happens when Bridge Street is closed to traffic. At the same time the bridge at Mudeford just by the shops is going to be strengthened causing traffic control to and from Bure Lane. So all in all we can expect delays right up to November. We will have to be patient knowing that at least DCC are doing something about our highways. I await with interest their consideration and solution to the Fountain roundabout problem following my latest letter to the Chief Excecutive.
