The Butteries Gardens
I was seriously disappointed to see the par less state of the gardens that front the Butteries and so before anyone complains this matter has been flagged up to CBC so action will be taken in the next couple of days. We will also look to see if there is a way of improving the planting and layout so that maintenance is not such an issue. It would be nice if the residents took an interest with a community group keeping tabs on the gardens, tidying up now and again. This area is part of the East/West gateway to Christchurch and should set an example for residents and visitors journeying along Purewell. I noticed that St Johns Church garden received acknowledgement in the recent Britain in Bloom competition and I see no reason why the gardens at the Butteries should not reflect the same enthusiasm to impress. So ''wanted enthusiastic cultivator willing to lead a team in the repair and maintenance of the Butteries gardens''. Wouldn't it be nice to get a bit of community pride going.
