Carols with the Mayor
Last night I saw Christchurch at it's best, The Priory full to capacity with residents,a trumpet fanfare, the kids from all over Christchurch processing with lighted lanterns, the Community Partnership Choir dressed to kill and in fine voice, the Mayor in full regalia and a program of carols introduced by Mike Turvey and Cllr.Josie Spencer that was sung with such gusto as to send the Christchurch Christmas message to everyone in this ancient Borough. And then, fine wine served with mince pies, what a night to remember, the only thing missing was the Christmas bells! My favourite carol was the one sent from our twin town Christchurch New Zealand, just magical. Well done to the Community Partnership for a splendid evening and well done to residents of Christchurch for proving again that there is a very special community here.
