30 seconds of fame!
I managed to get about 30 seconds of coverage on the Politics Show and whilst I looked determined the stuff I spouted was a bit incoherent, so I have to relax in the knowledge that BBC will not be calling me in for a full in depth interview about the very unpleasant subject of dog pooh. I got the impression that they were more impressed with the management of the subject by Poole Council who have employed a person with a spray paint can to highlight the various deposits in a bright orange hue. Quite what that does I am not sure so we will be sticking to our policy of bringing the persistent perpetrators to the law courts. You may be interested to know that our officers have issued over twenty fines and five court actions where we won costs every time.In these cases it was not an inconsiderable sum of money involved so we are covering our costs. Is the problem getting better? Well I was complimented yesterday by a resident who has seen a distinct improvement in his area. For me I think we are still very much in a 'work in process' phase with the key issue being about raising levels of community pride.
