Despite the economic turndown it is gratifying to see that CBC have managed to see the splash park project through to completion. I went to the Quomps on Friday to have a butchers at the finished project and was delighted to see the hoards of kids and parents enjoying the various devices designed to not only make the kids wet but to give them some fun and hands on activity in this water park.
The facility officially opens on August 3rd and I hear that the mayor will be taking the plunge, well not completely but a paddle might be on the cards!
All credit to CBC and the group of volunteers who put their minds together to see this through, another delivery for Christchurch. Go and see for yourself, it is great fun!
