Stanpit traffic calming

Yesterday I was notified that Dorset County Council Highways department were unable to schedule the start of the alterations to the traffic calming system until later in December. I have always been concerned at the effect the reported road closure would have on the build up to Christmas trade for local businesses and concluded that it would be a sensible decision to re-schedule the work until early in the new year. The question has to be asked as to why County are unable to keep to the schedules that they set and if and when we lose the Highways contract is this the sort of service we can expect. I will leave others to follow this course but as you can imagine am highly agitated that yet again County have acted to their own agenda not that of the community that I represent.
